Ms. Matter

Hello! I'm Ms. Matter, the full-time School Counselor at Global Arts Plus Upper Campus. I have been part of the Global Arts Plus team since 2016 when I started at the Lower Campus. I moved to the Upper Campus in Fall of 2018.  I enjoy being part of the wonderful community that Global Arts offers!

When I'm not being a School Counselor I enjoy reading, cooking, and spending time with my husband and daughter.

I'm available to connect Monday - Friday from 9:15-4:15.

GAP Counseling Department Mission Statement:The mission of the Global Arts Plus Counseling Department is to provide a program that fosters the skills, mindsets and behaviors for students to feel confident and prepared to pursue their dreams. We provide the opportunity for all students to equitably access the support and advocacy students need to succeed. Through the use of data and collaboration with families and community resources, we work to eliminate barriers and racial disparities in education.

GAP Counseling Department Vision Statement:Global Arts Plus Students view the world through the lens of their arts education in unique and critical ways to embrace diversity, pursue lifelong learning and positively impact the world around them. They possess strong self-advocacy skills and have the courage to boldly create their own success and happiness. Our students are productive contributors in society by aligning themselves to a career that matches their individual interests, abilities and values.
