Mr. Humes
I have been teaching Science for 26 years, all of them in St. Paul. My education includes a degree in Broadfield Science where I studied biology, geology, physics, and chemistry. I also have had the great pleasure of getting a Masters Degree in Montessori Education. The Masters in Education was great, in part, because all of my coursework was with my fellow teachers. We were all students together. Global Arts Plus is the third Saint Paul junior high/middle school that I have had the pleasure to work in. During my years teaching I have taught Life Science (biology), Earth Science (geology) and Physical Science (physics).
I am extremely fortunate to have to have the opportunity to continue to teach Earth Science at Global Arts Plus. I enjoy working with eighth grade scholars and giving them opportunities to explore our planet, atmosphere, and beyond.
Outside of school I enjoy outdoor activities like swimming, running, remodeling projects, and any other physical exercise. I have two children that are all grown up and have completed their education. One of my daughters has even become a Science Teacher. I also love to travel, go to the gym, read books, see movies, and I enjoy getting outside and doing just about anything all year long.
What about your Science Class?
