Hello! Welcome to first grade!

My name is Amy Wittmann. I have been teaching for 25 years. All of these years have been in the Saint Paul Public School District. I have been a teacher here at Global Arts Plus for 15 of my years. This will be my third year teaching first grade at our school. Prior to teaching first grade, I taught Science and 3rd grade here at Global Arts Plus.

I have wanted to be a teacher for as long as I can remember. My mother is an educator and she was a very large influence in me choosing this profession. I attended college at Central Lakes College for my undergraduate degree, went to Bemidji State University for my Bachelor in Elementary Education, and attended St. Mary's University for my Master's in Education.

I just celebrated 21 years of marriage to my husband, who is also a teacher. I have one amazing daughter who will be a Junior this year in SPPS. I love my fur babies as well! We have a silver lab named Lucy, two tabby cats named Milo and Elsa, and a non-fur baby named Coco. He is a crested gecko.

In my free time, I enjoy walking my dog, biking, gardening, crafting, watching TV, and spending time with family.

I am looking forward to being your child's teacher this year. Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns you may have. My door is always open.

Warmly,

Amy Wittmann
